Good Morning Johns Creek!

Congratulations to the girls varsity tennis team for winning the state championship on Saturday at Clayton International Park. The girls defeated Stars Mill in the semi final match and beat the defending state champions from Marist in the final. This year's varisty players include: senior captains-Kimberly Straub and Rebecca Ginsberg, Kimberly Randall, Moe Kitamura, Stephanie Woods, Linda Shin, Tiffany Flood, Kady Coleman, Sarah Ma, Samantha Whisner, Lindsey Peterson, Jaqueline Dallas, Jennifer Dallas, Rani Rachavelpula, Annie Marcinkowski, and Sofia Blanno. The end of season banquet will be held tonight in the school cafeteria. It's sure to be a special celebration. The varsity girls and coaches wish to thank everyone in the building for all the good wishes and support during this great season.

The Men’s Tennis Team has won the State Championship! We defeated the #2 team in the State, Starr’s Mill, 3 to 1, and then swept Chattahoochee in the finals, 3 to 0. Please congratulate the players: Pat Hire, Matt Kaye, Akshay Verma, Pranav Bhardwaj, Pally Ray, Nihar Ullal, Gordon Li, Daniel Kang, Andy Wang, Drew Akins, and Derrick Bhole. The coaches are Mr. Gabel and Mr. Sigl.

Students, remember that on our final exam days, this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, you will be dismissed by 12:20pm daily. You need to have plans to leave campus at that time. The afternoon is teacher work time daily and if you have no transportation to leave at 12:20, we will provide a school study hall for you. You are not to visit any other Fulton school during your afternoon hours on those final exam days. Our Fulton schools have been alerted to report names of any high school visitors for disciplinary action.

Students that are going to be getting their Driving Permit or their Drivers License during the summer are advised to pre order their Certificate of Attendance and their ADAP forms by May 17th. The Certificate of Attendance Forms issued in May 2012 will be accepted by DDS until September 30, 2012. If you need to order your Certificate of Attendance or ADAP form there will be next business day turn around. There is a $1.00 charge for a Certificate of Attendance or an ADAP form. ADAP is issued once students complete the course, but if you have lost yours, you may order another one in the front office. ADAP is needed to get a new license. It is not needed to obtain a permit.

School front office and counseling suite hours during the summer beginning May 24th will be Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. The school will not be open to the public on other days.

If you are interested in going to Washington DC on the Close-Up trip next January to see the presidential inauguration and weren’t able to attend the meeting two weeks ago, there will be a student information meeting at 8:00AM in Coach Bowler’s room on Thursday morning. Room 266.

Anyone interested in learning to row should see Mr. Smith in room 142 for information on rowing camps. No experience is necessary.

Attention Seniors – there are still some uncollected graduation yard signs in the front office – please make sure you pick them up by the end of the week.

Attention Seniors – if you are attending Project Graduation your paperwork must be completed by this Wednesday and turned in to Mrs. Cessna. Both the Johns Creek High School Rules and the Andretti waiver can be picked up at Mrs. Cessna’s desk or downloaded by going to the Senior link of the school’s website. No one will be allowed to ride the go carts without the waiver being signed and no one will be able to attend the event without the rules being signed. We’re going to have a great evening don’t get left out!

Gladiators come out on Tuesday to support the Varsity Baseball team as they take on Harris County at Home. This is the Elite Eight round of the baseball playoffs. Also, on Tuesday, the girls lacrosse team travels to McIntosh High school for the Final Four of the lacrosse playoffs. Try to make it to one of these events to cheer on the Johns creek athletes.

Congratulations to the boys track and field team who competed in the state track meet this past weekend. Clay Phillips placed sixth in the state in pole vault, while Demian Sevciuc finished third in the long jump competition, missing 1st place by two and a half inches. Other field event contestants include Denny Victor in the discus and Sevciuc in the triple jump. The team of Matt Azemar, Andre Hinton, Johnathan Roddey, and Sevciuc ran in the four by one hundred relay, while Erik Olsen broke the 800 meter record and Matt Azemar qualified for finals in the 200 meter, placing seventh in the state in that event. Way to go boys on a great state meet and outstanding season! All boys and girls track athletes who competed in the region meet need to see Coach Reeder in room 268 before or after school to pick up their region patches.

Good Morning Gladiators

Congratulations to the Gladiator Baseball team for their 14-2 win over House-ton County yesterday. The win advances the Gladiators to the Elite 8 next Tuesday and Wednesday here at Johns Creek. Opponent and time TBD. The baseball team would like to thank all the support the student body, faculty and staff have given them. Please plan on coming next Tuesday to fill up the stands again!

Attention boys varsity tennis players: The semifinals and finals for the State Tournament is this Saturday. You must be on the school bus that will leave from the Johns Creek High School parking lot. The bus will depart at 7:30 AM sharp. Riding the bus is not optional. Let’s go out and win the State title!

Tonight your gladiatiators girls lacrosse team will have their playoff game against lovett, they are playing at 7 pm at home, come out and support them!
