The weather for today is going to be extremely rainy with showers throughout the entire day and possible thunder storms around 4-7pm. The temperatures for today will remain in the mid 50’s for most of the day but might peak at 58 degrees in the afternoon and drop to 49 degrees tonight.
The Georgia High School Graduation test is next week!
Juniors, Next week, you will be taking the Georgia High School Graduation Test. You will take the English test on Monday, the Math test on Tuesday, the Science test on Wednesday and the Social Studies test on Thursday. You will test from approximately 8:35 until approximately 11:00 each day.
It is very important that you do well on this test. In order to graduate next year, you must take and pass each one of these tests. Please make sure you get a good night’s rest each night before you test. Also, have a good breakfast. It has been proven that students who do these simple things perform better on the tests.
Testing will take place in the 300 Block. This is where you took the Writing Test in the fall. Monday morning, March 15th, please look for Advisement Rosters in the main hallways and in the Cafeteria to see in which room you are testing. It may not be the same room you tested in last fall.
For Freshmen, Sophomores and Seniors: On Monday and Tuesday, the sequence of periods will be reversed. This means that we will start with 6th period and run backwards to 1st period. We will go back to a regularly sequenced day on Wednesday and Thursday.
Please keep in mind that due to testing, classes will be displaced. You will see signs in the main hallways and in the cafeteria that will tell you where your classes will meet. There will also be counselors and administrators in the halls to assist you.
Also, you may NOT go into the 300 block for any reason during the testing times. Make sure you have everything you need for the first two periods of the day. There will be no exceptions.
If you have any questions, please see a counselor or Mr. Ilnseher in the Office.
